A well-rounded arborist familiar with the unique challenges that landscaping in our region poses, he passionately keeps up-to-date with advances in the tree care industry. He aims to support the growth of his family and colleagues and offer smart solutions to clients while leaving a legacy of good character, great work and old-school professionalism.

  • Juanita Huntsman, Administrator

A joyful and dedicated mother, an experienced administrative professional, and Matthew’s loving wife of 12 years gracefully manages Texas Tree behind the scenes. A constant source of good-natured insight and consistency, her support of our nest and our business is remarkable and indispensable. Her devotion to family and to God serve as essential lubrication for the rigors of small business operation. Without her we would surely starve.

  • Joshua Haberstroh, equipment manager

Joshua is a plant healthcare technician and aspiring arborist with four years of experience in Lubbock’s landscapes. His green industry training thus far is broad and includes heavy equipment operation, time spent as a nurseryman, tree care operations ground work, landscape construction and just plain old gardening. Joshua’s interest in horticulture has blossomed into proficiency and enthusiasm. He is currently studying to pass industry certification exams and is thrilled to be a part of a focused and dedicated team.

  • Michael Wales, plant health technician

Michael is a generous and joyous young man who is no stranger to even the heaviest and most dangerous tree care operations, having helped his father from an early age. He changes hats willingly and often, always happy to help support his family and community. He is a constant source of upliftment to our worksite, and of pride to his father. He is heavily focused on his education and is excited to gain experience in arboriculture while he discovers and develops his natural talents.

  • William Huntsman, Climber

Nobody brings a wider array of talents to our team than William Huntsman. He climbs, he cuts, he studies, he fixes. Knots, engines, and tree identification pose no challenge to his eclectic skillset and when we create another problem, he is there with the solution. William has been with Texas Tree Company in various capacities since its founding. Always daring, gentle and energetic, William still loves teaching his father how to climb.
